HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!  We wish all the “Special Ladies” of our parish a Happy Mother’s Day!  A Mother’s Day flower will be given to each Mother of our parish after all the masses today.  The 10:00 A.M. Mass on Sunday is offered for all of the Mother’s who were enrolled in the Mother’s Day Spiritual Bouquet. 

 

ST. MARY’S LADIES SOCIETY wishes to thank everyone who made the Social a big success.  We thank all who bought tickets for the raffles.  The winners of the Special Money Raffle were:  1st prize $50 – JoAnn Cullen, 2nd prize $25 – Beth Kessler, 3rd prize $15 – Leona Zinn.  A big thanks to everyone who attended, brought the desserts, set up and cleaned up, and helped in any other way.  A special thanks to Rita Biederbeck and the ladies for all of their organization and work.

 

ST. BONIFACE SPIRITUAL BOOK CLUB will meet in the rectory on Sunday, May 18 after noon Mass to discuss A Short History of the Mass.  Join our group of 20 or more parishioners and friends who like books and want to share their faith.  For more information contact our book club moderator Lisa Biedenbach, 892-3417 or lisab@americancatholic.org.

 

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL ELECTION will take place at all the Masses next weekend, May 17 and 18. Please check the insert in the bulletin for the Council candidates.

WHITE ELEPHANT SALE:  Have you done your spring-cleaning?  Donate all of those items, you promised yourself should go, to our BIG WHITE ELEPHANT SALE.  The date is Sunday June 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  You can bring your items to the rectory.  No adult clothing, items must be clean, useable and small enough to be carried by one person.  We could use help with sorting on Saturday, June 7th and also the day of the sale.  Call the rectory and Lorri Finke or Jude Houchens will get back to you.

49th INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS:  This year’s Congress will be held in Quebec City, Canada the week of June 15-22.  Reinvigorate your faith and understanding of the Eucharist along with thousands of other pilgrims.  Reservations for the Congress must be made through the Archdiocesan Worship Office, 421-3131, ext. 331.  Best Catholic Pilgrimages is taking reservations for the pilgrimage itself.  A flyer is on the bulletin board in the back of church with more details.

 

THE ANNUAL LOT OWNERS’ MEETING of the Cincinnati Catholic Cemetery Society will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 West 8th Street.  If you have questions please call the main office at 513-557-2306.

ST. CECILIA 100TH ANNIVERSARY GALA will be held on Friday, May 16 at the 20th Century in Oakley. The evening includes dinner, drinks, and dancing as well as surprises for the evening’s guests.
