THE SCRUTINIES are celebrated within the Saturday and Sunday assemblies on the Third, Fourth, and the Fifth Weeks of Lent. While the prayers seem to concentrate on those who will enter the Church at the Easter Vigil, they are really opportunities for all of us to examine our hearts and minds in the light of the Gospel. This weekend we focus on being freed from the slavery of sin and longing for the living water that brings eternal life. The RCIA group will be in attendance at the 4:00 PM Mass on Saturday, March 6th.
This is CATHOLIC MINISTRIES APPEAL Commitment weekend. Please join with Catholics in every parish who do their part for the Church throughout the 19 counties of our Archdiocese. God calls us to share what we have to help others. The Appeal brochure tells more about who benefits and where the money goes. Please review the brochure, and then take a step up with a generous pledge. Remember that God returns a hundredfold what we offer in love. Please visit www.catholicappeal.info for more information.
