YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY PROGRAM coming    to St. Boniface. Calling all parishioners and friends in their early 20’s to late 30’s: St. Boniface will be starting a Young Adult group. This is a great way to get together with other young adults from the parish to socialize and get to know each other. With four different Masses on the weekends, we often don’t get to meet other people like ourselves. Watch for additional information in upcoming bulletins.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES for children attending public schools will begin Sunday, September 21. Classes will be held in the rectory after 10:00 mass.  Please call Carol, at 541-1563, if you have a child you would like to enroll.

PRE-SCHOOL CLASSES will begin the first Sunday of October during the 10:00 Mass. Classes will be held in the rectory basement.  Please call Carol at 541-1563, if you have a child you would like to enroll.

PLANS ARE UNDERWAY for this year’s St. Boniface Church Parish Homecoming. KROGER GIFT CARDS:  Just a reminder that our school really benefits from your trips to Kroger’s!  All you have to do is load up your card before you pay for your groceries, and then use it like a regular gift card.  It is very simple for you and a great help to our school.  If you don’t have one of the Kroger “education” cards, call Carol, 541-1563, to get one.

Another simple way to support our school is to visit the Box Tops for Education site every day and click on the daily contest entries located in the Bonus Box Tops tab. Monthly winners earn thousands in Bonus Box Tops for their supported school. A few simple clicks daily could win St. Boniface School the monthly prize! More supporters = more chances. Thanks!

MINISTERS’ SCHEDULE:  Thanks to all of you have given Jenni your email address for the distribution of the minister’s schedule.  It helps with a more timely delivery of the schedule instead of having them in the sacristy.  Please call Jenni at the rectory 541-1563 or email jenni.stboniface@yahoo.com with your information.

The current Ministry Schedule can be found here

ALL SOULS DAY ENVELOPES can be found at the doors of church.  Take an envelope, write the names of those you want remembered on it, and enclose your contribution.  A Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. on All Souls Day, November 2nd, and once a week during the month of November.

MEMORIAL DONATIONS:  Did you know that for any memorial donation made to St. Boniface in someone’s name, a mass will be offered in their name and yours, once a month?  This includes donations to the Memorial Improvement Fund, Education Fund, Organ Fund or special memorials.

ST. BONIFACE SPIRITUAL BOOK CLUB met in July to discuss the Miracle of Lourdes:  Message of Healing and Hope with author Rev. John Lochran, a priest in Wales who is a former chaplain to English-speaking pilgrims in Lourdes, France.  Fr. Lochran shared with us his own story of healing at Lourdes and told us about his ministry as chaplain there.  It was a lively and interesting discussion about miracles and our faith.  On Sept. 21, our discussion will focus on Saint Paul:  Called to Conversion:  A Seven-day Retreat by Scripture scholar Ronald Witherup, S.S.  This is an excellent book to read and meditate on during the Year of Paul.  Copies of the book are available at the rectory for $12.95.  In November local Franciscan Father Murray Bodo will join us in person to discuss his latest book on ten mystics.  For information, contact book club moderator Lisa Biedenbach, 892-3417 or lisab@americancatholic.org.

VOCATION VIEW: Let go of worry.  Go to God in prayer.  Then the peace of God will dwell in your heart and mind.  Ask God to show you how to follow Jesus.  (Philippians 4: 6-9)
