The meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m. For Faith Formation, Father Joe read the
gospel for the first Sunday of Advent. Council members shared their thoughts
regarding the message contained in the gospel – that we must remain awake and
alert to watch and pray for Jesus’ coming.
Roll call was taken and the minutes of the September 26 meeting were approved
as published.

Old Business:
Oktoberfest and Turkey Dinner -- Tim Banish reported that the
Oktoberfest had made $3,394.00. The Turkey Dinner made $65.00, but there is
still one bill that needs to be paid. Some Council member expressed concern that
the Turkey Dinner had not received enough publicity. Next year the Fall Festival

was available about the purchase of an AED machine to keep in the church.
For the Good of the Parish:
Father Joe and Council members reported the following.
- From June through November there was a shortage of $910 in the amount of
money donated for the large vigil lights in church. Father said that the
donation for the large vigil lights is $2.50. A sign indicating the
requested donation will be placed by the vigil lights.
- There are currently 170 children enrolled in St. Boniface School.
Additional funds from C.I.S.E. enabled the school to hire a part-time social
worker, a full-time tutor and a part-time tutor.
- Twenty-two people attended the Closing of Forty Hours service.
- December 3 is the first Sunday of Advent and also the Rite of Acceptance
for the RCIA participants. There are five people in the RCIA program this
year.

obligation.
- The parish Advent Penance Service will be Monday, December 11. There will
be four priests available to hear confessions.

the crib.

profit of approximately $15,000.

later if he feels it is needed.
